Jewelry Accessories Holder

Do you think this is a good business idea?
I am very motivated to have my own business. I understand that after a wedding there are TONS of extra materials (candles, candle holders, fabric, ribbon, various decorations, wedding dresses, jewelry etc etc). I know there are websites like craigslist, eBay and recycle your wedding. What if I started a store where people could sell me their wedding accessories. I know weddings are very expensive, so wouldn’t it help to have a place to go to where you can buy 100 candle holders or vases (etc) for 1/2 the price. Or even wedding dresses. I don’t want it tbe consignment, so I will be picky with what I buy from people. Also it would be nice for some people to get money back after spending tons of money on things they will never use again. While it would be affordable, I want it to look upscale and not like a “second-hand” store. Maybe I should stay away from Wedding gowns, as that may be a whole different ball park..?
What do think?

Thanks!!
Would your business be based on the internet, or locally? I think a local store where people could see the items they are purchasing (or renting) and where people could physically take their used items might do well. This would also give you an opportunity to make connections with local wedding venues and planners which could send customers your way. Depending on how business savvy you are, it might be a good idea to start small, like out of your home. Spread your business by word of mouth and see what happens. As interest grows you can then consider how to take it to the next level.
