Does Pt900 engraved on the inside of a platinum ring mean it’s a good quality?

I’m looking for a nice ring for someone and I found someone selling a platinum ring with topaz and diamond. It says Pt900 on the inside which I think is the grading of the value of platinum and it says 0.02 ct which i think is for the diamonds, They’re asking $110. Does this sound right? I don’t know my jewellery well and I dont want to get screwed over. Is this a good deal??

Yes, that’s good. It means the ring is 90% platinum. Platinum is superior to white gold in every way, much better quality, naturally white and hypoallergenic.

I’m surprised they’re selling it so cheap, must not know what platinum is worth.

0.02 carats, for a diamond, is very tiny, so wouldn’t cost much for that part of the ring at all. The value is in the metal.
