How many gifts is too much?
Here is what I’ve bought for my 2 1/2 year old daughter for Christmas so far:
baby doll with accessories
matching game
vanity set
play jewelry and makeup
kids digital camera
I also ordered some books, but they said it may not arrive by Christmas, so I guess she will get those late. I’ve probably spent a total of $120.
So, my question is… am I going overboard or does this sound reasonable? How many presents do YOU buy for your kids and how old are they?
Wow…. some harsh words here. I didn’t think I needed to explain myself, but here goes…. she already has enough clothes, scarves, gloves, a toothbrush and toothpaste. Those are necessities. She already has a college fund that money goes into every week. I am not stereotyping and getting her these things just because she’s a girl. I asked this question because I wanted other people’s opinions, but is being HARSH really necessary? Geez…. bah humbug to you too.
whatever you do this year, you’ll have to “top” next year so don’t go overboard…and don’t forget she’ll likely get gifts from family members, too! You’ve done well with the big gifts…maybe pick up stickers, crayons, or other small toys for her stocking from Santa and that’s plenty. Mine’s the same age and I’m on track with you.
