Jewelry Wire Cutters

can anyone explain all the different pliers used in jewellery making?
hi
iv recently decided to have a go at making my own jewellery, i want to start by making earrings and necklaces using beads. i have looked around the internet and have become confused with the many different pliers u need to do this craft and the fact that some pliers have different names depending on where u look. round nose, flat nose, chain nose, crimp pliers, wire cutter pliers? are any of these the same lol and are there any others? hope you can help me
many thanks.
round nose are for making neat loops in wire, crimp pliers are specially designed for closing crimps(they’re hard to use and I rarely use them) wire cutters are for cutting wire and there are two different types, which one you use is a matter of preference, flatnose have a blunt rectangular head that has a smooth inner surface and are used for gripping wire and closing loops. chain nose are used similar to blunt nose but have an angled head and a ridged inner surface to enable better grip.
when starting out the main pliers you need are round nose, chain nose and wire cutters, everything else is just a matter of using specialist pliers for certain tasks. Also the more you learn about beading the more types of plier you’ll encounter and they all have a specific task.
