Loose Jewelry Stones
Question about fixing jewelry…?
Does anyone know where I can buy loose, coloured glass gems/ rhinestones?
I have a cheap ring that a stone has fallen out of and I really want to replace it.
The gems would need to be “cut” at the back, rather than flat, and preferably silvered, so the colour of the jewelry I’m fixing won’t affect the colour of the gem.
They definitely need to be glass, I can’t afford anything more expensive (the ring was under £10) and they can’t be plastic: they’ll just go dull and look horrible. They’d also need to be round, just the classic “flat top, pointy bottom” cut.
The ring is not in stock any more, so I can’t buy another one.
I am willing to buy wholesale/packs of gems because they’re always useful for fixing things.
A variety of sizes would be good, to give a better chance of the gem fitting. The one I want to replace is about 2mm across.
